Features of the planning solution + concept. What dictated. At the very beginning of work on this object, we prepared several optimal planning solutions for the customer. In each of the options, we deliberately laid down certain wow effects.
Since we had a clear task of zoning into a common, children’s and master zone, in the chosen planning solution the master zone is hidden and an inconspicuous entrance to it is available through the front of the kitchen. Here we tried to clearly observe the correct logistics and ensure the correct transit connection so that the master zone is self-sufficient and provides the owners with everything necessary for their comfortable pastime. Therefore, our owners will be able to be content with both a spacious wardrobe and a master bathroom and access to the terrace within their personal space. It is worth noting that it was the mansard roof that set the general concept of the planning solution, therefore, when analyzing the approaches, it was decided to use the roof as the starting point for all our options. Interestingly, the developer’s planning decision obliges us to preserve the corridor, since there are load-bearing walls on both sides of the corridor. Therefore, the primary task was to make the corridor an anchor and non-trivial place.
Children’s room. Part of the children’s room, according to planning, had a pitched roof. This determined our decision to make the entire children’s room look like a house and use the circumstances to reinforce this image and idea. The children’s zone is divided into two conditional subzones: “sleep” and “play”. If everything is clear with the sleeping area and there is a bed, then for the “play” area I wanted to win as much space as possible. So the idea was born to make a two-level construction, which would include a spacious closet, a play area with soft cushions and a soft wall (for maximum child safety) on the ground floor, and an area with a skylight on the second floor, where children could watch the stars . This decision may remind us of the “hut” known to all of us since childhood, when we wanted to build our kingdom in a common space. So, the children of the owners already have only their built-in house in the house.
Relationship with the customer When we were preparing visualization options for the guest bathroom, we offered the customer several color variations of the shower cabin. All were pretty standard and an option we didn’t count on but still really hoped for was the pink shower. After reviewing all the options, including pink, the customer asked: – Pink? – Yes, pink. – We do! Although at that time we still did not know at all from what kind of materials we would realize this idea. From that moment on, trust and mutual understanding at the level of the customer-architect was established and began to gain momentum.
Relations with contractors In the process of work, as in any other business, there are difficulties. In the process of implementing this interior, we had to change the furniture contractor. As a result, the project was proved by 2 companies, with which we worked on trust and continue to work on an ongoing basis at other facilities to this day.
Expensive brands VS do-it-yourself interior items In the interior you will not find many expensive brands, because at first the task was to fit into a certain amount per sq. m. But a few anchor points still did not go unnoticed by the leading Italian factories. For example, the dining area (table and chairs) is one of our favorite factories – Calligaris. But, for example, we made a log that serves as a stand in the common area and 2 decks that act as bedside tables, we made it ourselves.
PAINTIT our values. Our team always aims to enrich the interior with extraordinary solutions that would remain functional. There are no illusory elements in our works that the customer would waste money on. Beauty must be functional.
